Special Assistant on Digital Communications to President Muhammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmad, has reacted to the revelation that the Nigeria Air plane flown into Abuja on Friday, belongs to Ethiopian Airlines. Information Nigeria had reported that the Nigeria Air plane landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja for the first time for the proposed airline. The flight, which took off from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia arrived in the country on the 26th of May, 2023. The Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika also took to his Twitter page to share a video of the plane’s arrival, saying the project has been long, tedious, and difficult. He however thanked God for the eventual success as well as every stakeholder for their support. The Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom has severely criticized the Buhari administration, labelling the last eight years as the worst in Nigeria’s history. The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested a 16-year-old boy for raping a 17-year-old girl in Toro Local Government Area of the state. The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested 17 suspects during raids of drug joints in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital. The suspects were said to have been caught with 6.2kg of drugs while a pistol was also recovered. The Commander of Narcotics, NDLEA, Ogun State, Ibiba Odili, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday. Odili said the joint operation was carried out in partnership with the operatives of the 35 Artillery Brigade of Nigeria Army, Alamala Barracks, Abeokuta and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.
