Udeh, an engineer, was a former Enugu State Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and had remained a member of the party till he defected to APGA to pursue his political ambition to become the governor of Enugu State.

Although details of his abduction and recovery of his remains were still sketchy at the time of filing this report, the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, confirmed the incident to The Punch in a telephone call.

Ndukwe didn’t provide any details. However, he promised to get details and revert back.

Meanwhile, a family source told The Punch that Udeh was last seen on Saturday which raised suspicion that he might have been kidnapped.

“On Sunday evening, his telephone was found by the wall of the Ogui Police Station, confirming fears that he could have run into trouble.

“His wife who had been trying the line was later informed that the phone had been found.”

Following the recovery of the telephone, the wife went to the Ogui Police Division where she reported the disappearance of her husband.
